Shari has been working as a speech-language pathologist since 1994. She specializes in the communication difficulties of adults and children who have neurological damage, developmental disabilities, psychiatric conditions, or autism. She also has extensive experience addressing swallowing impairments.
Shari has also been recognized as an expert in the area of acquired communication and swallowing disorders. She enjoys doing medical-legal evaluations, and will frequently travel within British Columbia and Alberta.
Shari is a Clinical Educator and regular guest instructor with the University of British Columbia. She will take two UBC students per year for clinical internships. She is also on the Registry of Autism Service Providers, with designations as a speech-language pathologist and behaviour consultant.
Shari is the director of Advantage Speech-Language Pathology. This is a Richmond-based private practice with a team of 10 therapists and 2 administrators. Services are provided in the clinic as well as in homes, facilities and schools across the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley.
