Sneha Shenoy | Expedition Leader
Sneha is a renaissance soul with an avid interest in story telling through her travels, writing and food blogging. She has a decade long experience in Events, which she has used to further her medium agnostic storytelling agenda.
Inclusive education has always been a passion project with her, and she has been a mentor with Greenbatti – A one on one mentorship program activated by Teach for India, supported by Tata Institute of Social Sciences. Her belief is that each one of us needs to change our own world, and world view; for there to be a global dent in shared beliefs! She blogs on www.herestowanderlust.wordpress.com to share her experiences and viewpoints; and make this world a wee bit more community driven.
As Expedition leader, Sneha is excited to combine her expertise in Events and Experiential travel to attract more researchers and volunteers to the TWSB agenda; as well as ensure the entire program is productive from both a social as well as longevity construct.
Sachar | Director of India Operations
Sukriti is a founder, entrepreneur, and is passionate about social impact. After working in corporate events for 7 years, Sukriti founded Powerlabs, a content design studio.
Her journey with The Walking School Bus (TWSB) began in 2016 which started with a Ugandan Expedition and resulted in Sukriti founding the India Chapter of TWSB. Apoorv Gupta | Experience Designer
During his time as a Child Rights Ambassador with Plan International, Apoorv acquired a taste for being in the field with people who matter. Apoorv has the pleasure of having a similar experience due to the empathetic nature of his design studies at the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing, Jabalpur (IIITDM), where he is studying to be a Service Designer.
Through his studies at IITDM, Apoorv intends to tie the knots that collectively lead to an enhanced classroom experience for children. His philosophy is to nurture children’s exploratory nature as a means to enable the development of their innate passions. Apoorv enjoys experimenting with graphic design with these goals in mind, and has been working with TWSB in applying his expertise and passion with children and design.

Shally Makin | Expedition Leader
A traveler by heart, Shally calls herself an adventure enthusiast and experience curator. She started her career as a healthcare journalist and then a travel bug bit her. In 2014, she co-founded Rootsvida, an experiential travel company.
Wandering in the offbeat trails of India, she realized education was merely a word in these far-fetched villages. As a result, she started looking for ways to give back something to the society while she travels around the world. Shally joined a philanthropic organization called Central Square Foundation in Delhi, which is a grant making organization and a policy think tank focused on improving the quality of school education.
However, as she ventured more into the education sector, she realized one needs to be on the field to really make a difference. In order to achieve this, she feels we must continually develop grassroots initiatives that aim to empower and educate individuals. It is this belief combined with her wealth of experiences in travel that excites Shally to join TWSB as the Expedition Leader- India in the fight for global equality and change.
